Biographical SketchBarbara Bonhage, Dr. phil., is a postdoctoral researcher at the Chair for the History of Technology at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich, Switzerland. She studied history and the history of literature at the Universities of Zurich and Paris I. After completing her degree, she was a research associate and team leader of the banking group of the Independent Committee of Experts: Switzerland Second World War (ICE). Her Ph.D. analyzes the role of Swiss Banks during the Third Reich. She is currently reviewing newer telecommunication technologies in the financial sector as means of social change since the 1960s.
