Biographical Sketch

Anne Kristine Børresen has done her master theses in History of technology on the knowledge structure in electrical engineering post World War II. Her phd theses was in management and business history: a study of the board of the Norwegian Iron Works from 1949-1989. Her later works have been concentrated on a biography of one of the great pioneers in metallurgy in Norway: Johan H. L. Vogt. She is currently planning to work on the history of Norges geologiske undersøkelser, NGU (Norwegian Geophysical Survey) from 1858 until today.
