Education 1986 : Bachelor of Science (BS) in Civil Engineering (National Technical University of Athens.
1987 : Master’s Degree in Environmental Studies (Ecole nationale des ponts et chaussées-France).
1987-1993 : Ph.D. in Economics and Social Sciences, Designing and Running Large Technical Systems at the LATTS, ENPC with High Honors and a special mention from the jury.
Professional position Since September 1993, Senior Researcher at the LATTS-ENPC in the history and sociology of science and technology.
Main research interests
History of large urban socio-technical systems (19th and 20th centuries), such as water supply networks and storm water drain systems.
History of the “ rationalization” process within French industry (20th century).
History of engineering sciences (with focus on mechanics) and engineering education in France in the 19th century.
Science and technology during the 19th and 20th centuries in Greece.
