Biographical Sketch

Katja Girschik, lic. phil., is a Ph.D. student at the Chair for the History of Technology at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich, Switzerland. She studied economic history, sociology and politics at the University of Zurich and was later a coordinator and co-editor in a research project on the history of a large Swiss company. Her Ph.D. addresses the digitalization of distribution in retailing, with a focus on the Swiss market.
